The highest possible safety

On the edge of the Hardangervidda and Hallingskarvet National Parks; Finse, Norway is a truly unique location and is steeped in polar history.

It is right here that the polar greats of Amundsen, Scott and Shackleton, came to train for their own expeditions in the early 20th Century. Finse Polar Skills is our introductory Challenge covering all the necessary elements of a polar expedition.

Led by record breaking polar guides, and using the iconic Finse 1222 hotel as your base, you will build a range of practical skills over the course of the week, before heading out into the wilderness to put it all into practice with a night camping on the snow. This wondrous location is only accessible by the snowtrain from Oslo or Bergen, considered to be one of the most scenic rail routes in the world.
