FORTUNA SKI RANGE
New for AW25, Shackleton is launching into the world of ski with the Fortuna Jacket and Bib Pants. Tested on 5 continents over 2 years of development, the Fortuna ski suit is engineered for extremes - equally specified for traversing glaciers, climbing couloirs or catching the last lift of the day.
Endurance athlete James Norbury has grappled with glaciers, skied over crevasses and fought through whiteouts in one of Earth’s most inhospitable places while attempting to complete The Shackleton Traverse through the mountainous interior of South Georgia, equipped with Shackleton’s new high-performance Fortuna Ski Suit.
This was the same perilous route taken by Sir Ernest Shackleton in 1916 during his desperate, last-ditch mission to save the crew of the doomed Endurance, 22 of whom were stranded on Elephant Island from which he had just sailed across 800 miles of ocean in the James Caird an open-topped, 22.5ft boat
