Stay at the historic Hotel Union Øye: Cradled between steep mountains beside a fjord is one of Europe’s most historically significant hotels. This was where Kaiser Wilhelm II holidayed, Arthur Conan Doyle worked on his Sherlock Holmes novels, William Slingsby ventured out to bring mountaineering to Norway and Edvard Grieg composed from the hotel piano. Step back into a bygone era of luxury.
