Norway Hut To Hut Challenge

Discover the joy of solitude

Experience the solitude, peacefulness and the pristine polar wilderness of the Norwegian high plateau.

On the edge of the Hardangervidda and Hallingskarvet National Parks; Finse, Norway is a truly unique location and is steeped in polar history. It is right here that the polar greats of Amundsen, Scott and The Boss, Sir Ernest Shackleton, came to train for their own expeditions in the early 20th Century.

Our Hut to Hut Challenge is a step up from our Polar Skills Challenge, and will include longer distances and more undulating terrain. Carrying all your supplies in a backpack, you’ll be skiing a challenging route, covering up to 20kms per day, led by our polar guides. Your adventure will start and end at the iconic Finse Hotel and during the expedition you will be staying in the charming Norwegian mountain huts, providing refuge in this stunning wilderness. You will be skiing through mountain passes, up glaciers, across frozen lakes, and into valleys, with stunning views of Hardangerjokulen and the surrounding national parks.
