Knox is a high-performance, stylish combination of a 2-layer, recycled and fully seam-sealed waterproof outer combined with 85% recycled down insulation. Designed with expedition DNA, Knox reinvents the outdoor staple of a warm, waterproof jacket with materials and features found in our Polar-ready apparel.
Built to be your everyday companion in unpredictable conditions, the Knox’s hydrophilic waterproof membrane has been borrowed from our Polar Exploration suit for an excellent 20,000mm Hydrostatic Head waterproof rating and high breathability of 4.32 RET. The face fabric is finished with a PFC-free C0 DWR coating that allows moisture to bead and run off.
Thindown insulation in the body and collar is made from 85% regenerated duck down for luxurious lightweight warmth. Meanwhile, recycled 3DeFX Synthetic Insulation in the sleeves and hood regulate body temperature and manage moisture, and an underarm gusset gives the shoulders and arms freedom of motion. Knox has been styled for a refined look as at home in the city as out on the hills, with features developed for our expedition-grade apparel to handle storms and wintry weather, including a magnetic storm shield front closure. Whenever you need a warm, waterproof jacket for your travel schedule, daily missions and forays into the outdoors, reach for Knox.
Knox was field tested by Ben Kinnear, Team GB Ski Coach, wild camping on Scotland's west coast through breezy to strong wind and heavy rain in cool temperatures.
"Practical and high-level tech. Definitely a stock jacket I'd have all year round. I took Knox camping instead of an insulating layer and rain jacket, as it covers both well. I was able to test in strong sustained winds and Knox felt very well shielded with very good wind resistance. Even in strong winds it felt very warm."
