THE MAX THORPE EDIT
Adventurer and athlete Max Thorpe survived a rogue wave, capsize, fire and perilous rescue in an attempt to row across the Atlantic Ocean. 2-years later he went back to win the race and break the world record. Now back on terra firma, he’s found on the ice, in the mountains or the gym; training and preparing for the unknown and unknowable. Here Max talks through his Shackleton wardrobe staples.
"This really is my favourite sweater. It's really comfortable and thick, great to layer under a parka when in the mountains, but also looks great as a smart chunky knit for more formal occasions."
“The Faraday is my go-to gilet. When undertaking intense physical efforts in extreme environments, temperature fluctuations are inevitable. This is an ideal versatile layer that is lightweight and warm - a combination that is hard to find.”

“The Endurance Parka provided exceptional protection and functionality on my recent expedition in Chamonix. In multiple snowstorms with temperatures down to -20°C, the down-packed baffles and snorkel hood enabled me to complete my objectives. Now I reach for it whenever the mercury drops.”
“There are beanies and then there are beanies. A very comfortable fit and deceivingly warm, it’s become my go-to winter hat.”
