BOOK A 30-MINUTE INTRODUCTORY CALL WITH OUR CHALLENGES TEAM TO FIND THE RIGHT SHACKLETON CHALLENGE FOR YOU.
Mission: An epic journey through three different and spectacular desert landscapes (dunes, wadis and jebels) while learning essential desert survival and expedition skills.
The Level 1 Arabian Desert Challenge will take place in the UAE and Oman and will involve travelling by camel, foot, SUV and swim-trek.
The Challenge starts at the luxurious Qasr al Sarab hotel in the world-famous Empty Quarter – the greatest continuous sea of sand on Earth. Here you’ll learn the essentials of desert travel, navigation and survival. Then you’ll transfer to Oman to put your skills into practice in a three-stage journey: a desert traverse with Bedouins, a swim-trek through water-filled, canyon-like wadis and finally challenging hikes in the spectacular mountainous jebels. This Level 1 Challenge will introduce you to a broad range of desert environments set in some of the world's most remote and beautiful scenery.

REVIEWS OF SHACKLETON CHALLENGES
It was probably the best experience of my life so far. The ice crystals in my hair quickly melted, but my sense of personal polar pride remains at a plateau. By endurance we do conquer, it seems.
