South Africa’s coast touches three great oceans: the Indian, the South Atlantic and the Southern. These last two are especially resonant to anyone familiar with Shackleton lore.
Lying closer to the Tropics than the 2,300 nautical miles to Antarctica, South Africa makes the ideal venue to prove the worth of gear designed for changeable and often warmer climes.
