WHY I TAKE IT

LEVISON WOOD

Writer, photographer, explorer and so on to a maximum of 15 words.

"I love the X it always keeps me dry when exploring the amazon, it packs down to a 10th of its size and is just phenomenal."

DESCRIPTION

The Halley Ultralight Down Jacket is an elevated year-round essential that's engineered to deliver lightweight warmth and serious comfort. Halley offers expedition-grade performance, strong sustainability credentials and a distinctive silhouette.

The 100% recycled Pertex Quantum micro-ripstop shell delivers durable abrasion-resistance with soft-touch feel. The packable stuff sack reduces the Halley down to a fraction of its size making it an easy choice for even the most lightly laden adventurer.

Carefully considered details like hidden elasticated cuffs provide a snug fit, keeping warmth in and cold out. The easy-grip rubberised zip-pulls feature the nine-pointed star and an in-built lining envelop stows the care labels. Its versatility and lightweight design make it the go-to choice to wear solo in warmer months or as an impressive addition to a layering system under a ski jacket.

  • DOWN FILL: 800 fill power. Down is the most effective natural insulator in the textile industry.

  • RDS CERTIFIED DOWN: All down is RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified. You can access a Down Tracking System via the swing tag attached with each jacket.

  • DOWN: Down fill is made up of 90% down, 10% feather.

  • RECYCLED: The shell and lining are constructed of a 100% recycled polyamide fabric.

  • PERTEX: Pertex Quantum® - Soft and superlight, Pertex Quantum's tightly woven fabric uses fine yarns to trap still air, allowing the insulation to fully loft and keep you warmer. A durable water repellent finish repels light rain and snow.
  • Primaloft Gold synthetic fill in the cuffs to avoid down migration and maintain the insulation
  • Packable into a stuff sack
  • Hidden elasticated cuff
  • Adjustable hem
  • 2 hidden zipped external pockets
  • Internal zipped pocket
  • Microfleece collar and chin guard

OPTIMAL BAFFLE CONSTRUCTION

Featuring a 5cm stitch through baffle construction creates high warmth retention in key locations across the body.

/02

PACKABLE

A compact stuff sack is located in the internal security pocket. Made from the same 100% recycled micro ripstop fabric, it provides the option to easily compress down and travel with the Halley when not in use.

/03

MICROFLEECE CHIN GUARD

Protection shouldn't come at the expense of comfort, the microfleece chin guard provides a beautifully soft to touch experience.

A garment’s warmth depends on individual tolerance, layering, and conditions like wind or humidity, allowing flexibility beyond its listed temperature range.

Breathability measurement refers to a fabric's ability to allow moisture vapor to pass through, indicating how comfortable it will be during wear. The RET (Resistance to Evaporative Heat Transfer) value is commonly used; lower RET values (0-6) indicate very high breathability, while higher values (above 20) mean poor breathability.

The second way that breathability can be measured is moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR), given in milligrams per hour (mg/h), showing how much moisture can pass through in a set time frame. Higher MVTR values indicate better breathability, ensuring comfort by reducing moisture buildup.
