Hawkes is a lightweight, windproof softshell gilet for active, all-day use with breathable insulation that adapts to shifts in weather and heart rate.

Designed to move from the valley floor to the mountain summit, Hawkes can be worn from sunrise to sunset. Cold starts featuring wind and moisture are handled by high-performance Clo VivoOcean insulation and a windproof 70% recycled shell with a weather-repellant C0 DWR.

Then, as you move fast and light through rugged terrain the highly breathable active insulation manages moisture and regulates your body temperature with patented perforations for 30% better breathability (0.62 RET), which keeps you comfortable and dry and means you don’t need to stop to remove layers.

Lightweight Hawkes is made to move and is loaded with features including three zipped pockets, laser-cut micro-fleece lined collar and a cord-adjustable hem.

Tuned for vertical movement, Hawkes is fully climbing-harness compatible with two well-positioned external pockets, an internal snap button at the hem and a two-way front zip to free up your belay loop.

A garment’s warmth depends on individual tolerance, layering, and conditions like wind or humidity, allowing flexibility beyond its listed temperature range.

Breathability measurement refers to a fabric's ability to allow moisture vapor to pass through, indicating how comfortable it will be during wear. The RET (Resistance to Evaporative Heat Transfer) value is commonly used; lower RET values (0-6) indicate very high breathability, while higher values (above 20) mean poor breathability.

The second way that breathability can be measured is moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR), given in milligrams per hour (mg/h), showing how much moisture can pass through in a set time frame. Higher MVTR values indicate better breathability, ensuring comfort by reducing moisture buildup.
