The Rothera combines superior versatility and rugged durability with a supremely soft and luxurious feel. A year-round mid-weight stalwart that’s a cut above the average hooded down jacket, this packable multi-season weight jacket offers a structured fit with serious outdoor credentials.

Windproof with exceptional thermal insulation, the Rothera is proven to maintain body warmth in temperatures as low as -12 degrees when accompanied by a mid-layer. Its 100% recycled ripstop shell fabric is insulated by RDS certified 850-fill power 90/10 goose down, alongside storm cuffs and a sculpted hood to protect from the elements.

It is no coincidence the Rothera gets its name from the British Antarctic Survey's research station on Adelaide Island, it is built with some of the world’s most extreme environments in mind.

Performing in its own right as a mid-weight and packable piece of outerwear. The Rothera Down Jacket is also a versatile mid-layer meaning it can be combined with heavy duty parkas and waterproofs to extend expedition-grade protection.

The hood shape is sculpted to snugly protect the head with a subtle peak for improved protection. Create a close fit using bungee cord toggles for ultimate protection from the elements.

Soft rib storm cuffs with thumb hole to prevent cold wind drafts and increasing protection against the elements.

Unique combination of 6cm and 3cm baffle depths provide extra heat retention in key locations on the body.

Measurements:

Chest

Outline your chest with a tape measure and breathe normally. Notice the variations as you breathe and record the highest number.

Waist

Place yourself in front of a mirror with your  waist clearly visible. Slightly tilting the torso to the side, visualise the formation of a crease, which indicates the position of the natural waist. Wrap the waist.

Hips

Outline with the tape measure the "wider" region below the waist, running parallel to the highest part of the glutes.
